The Provincial Government of Bataan (PGB) received donations from the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), spearheaded by PSC Chairman Richard E. Bachmann last January 17, 2024. The donation comprises a boxing ring and its accompanying equipment, which will be set up at a designated location inside the Capitol Compound.
During the event, PSC Executive Director Paolo Tatad reminisced the fond memories associated with boxing, emphasizing how it has become a source of pride for Filipinos. Furthermore, PSC Chairman Bachmann commended PGB for its commendable efforts and initiatives in sports development programs at the grassroots level, fostering the development of talented athletes.
In his address, Gov. Joet Garcia assured that the Provincial Government will persist in their endeavors to launch sports development programs in the province. Said initiatives are not only for the benefit of athletes but also for every Bataeño, aiming to promote a vibrant, healthy, and active community.
Among those present at the event were Vice Gov. Cris Garcia, Provincial Administrator Alice Pizarro, Engr. Emerson Bautista (Representative of Cong. Jett Nisay), SK Provincial Federation President Lovely Joy Poblete, PSC Executive Director Paulo Francis C. Tatad, and representatives from the Bataan Health Promotion Board, Provincial Youth Development Office, BPSU Sports and Physical Development Office, Schools Division Office- Bataan, and Bataan Elite Alliance Special Training System (B.E.A.S.T.S.) and Kinetic Fitness Zone Boxing Stable.
